Frequently asked questions
Questions about our approach and technology for crowd management with LED displays, answered briefly and factually.
Our approach
Which three parts make up Daylight Digital Crowd Management?
Strategic advice, LED displays on site and the Daylight scenario software. Together they deliver considered crowd flow control. More on the what we offer page.
What does the Daylight scenario software do?
With the scenario software you plan and change the message per screen and visualise the setup on a map, so you oversee the crowd flow at a glance.
Can operation happen on site?
Yes. We set up a control room on site, from which all screens are operated and controlled centrally during the event.
Setup & technology
How are the LED displays set up?
Mobile and city-wide: the displays are placed on scaffold structures so they rise clearly above the crowd. See examples in the photos and the King's Day Arnhem case.
How are the screens connected to each other?
Through our own point-to-point network between the setups. This way the system works independently of internet or the local infrastructure at the event location.
What is UPS2MOVE?
UPS2MOVE is our mobile backup power. If the mains power fails, the displays keep working, so the safety communication stays visible at all times.
Can you visualise the crowd flow on a map?
Yes. In the scenario software we place the screens on a map of the site, so you oversee the setup and the planned messages spatially.
Practical
Which regions do you work in?
We serve events across Belgium and the Netherlands, from cities to festival grounds. Discuss your event via the contact page.
Can I hire the displays for a single event?
Yes. We deliver crowd management with LED displays as a service per event, including setup, network, backup power and control. Request a proposal via the contact page.
Can the content be changed during the event?
Yes. From the control room you change the message per screen live, so you can respond immediately to the current crowd flow or situation.
What is crowd management with LED displays used for?
For crowd flow control, wayfinding and safety communication at large events: steering visitors the right way and informing them quickly. See our approach.
